The Macken family have been farmers in Ireland for nine generations and carry forward that wealth of experience into ConsumerFarmer.
The massively reduced subsidies for meat production from the European Federation in 2060 and increased transport costs were a blow to our traditional farming model. Combined with the dwindling land available for farming due to rising sea levels and climate change, we decided the time was right to collapse the distance between the farmer and the consumer and launched ConsumerFarmer in 2075.
We started out with our award winning biodomes for all your plant-based food needs, and following their success have now branched into domestic scale livestock. We work with the best Irish livestock breeders to bring you smaller animals with characteristics suited to Irish domestic consumer needs.

Because of their miniature stature and domestic environment, our livestock is exempt from the European Federation 2092 Meat, Egg and Dairy taxes, making non-plant protein more affordable for our consumers.
